What I believe.

The artwork of an artist is profoundly influenced by their surroundings and interpersonal relationships. These external factors become deeply embedded in the artist's mind, molding their unique artistic expression through the lens of their learning and personal experiences. Soma Banerjee, as an artist had the privilege of residing in a natural paradise for an extended period, where the majestic presence of nature far surpassed the pervasive influence of society commonly found in bustling metropolitan cities.

However, despite being surrounded by such natural beauty, the artist's creative output was somewhat constrained due to the demands of family responsibilities and the upbringing of children. Nevertheless, this limitation didn't hinder the accumulation of ideas within the artist's imaginative mind. Over time, a wealth of untapped creativity became stored within, awaiting its eventual release onto the canvas.

Living at an elevated location, approximately 150 meters above sea level, the artist's mornings were greeted by a symphony of delightful bird songs, echoing through the air. Encircled by lush trees, the artist found solace in the harmonious melodies of nature, creating a serene backdrop that nurtured the artist's creative spirit. These daily encounters with the wonders of the natural world left an indelible mark on the artist's mind, serving as a constant source of inspiration.

While the artist possesses proficiency in various artistic mediums, it is within the realm of acrylic that she portrays, creates the truest expression. However, the landscapes depicted by the artist deviate from conventional representations. Instead, they take on a distinct form, springing solely from the artist's boundless imagination. With an uninhibited artistic vision, the artist employs a captivating cascade of vibrant colors, resulting in whimsical and fanciful compositions that transport viewers to captivating realms.

In essence, the artist's work is a reflection of the profound interplay between their environment, personal connections, and the creative forces residing within. It is through this dynamic synthesis that Soma Banerjee brings forth their distinct art works, offers a unique perspective that invites viewers into a world shaped by imagination, nature, and the artist's innate passion.
